Owner of Mother Touch and Therapist Claire is a mother of two boys, that has experienced the good & not so good in labour & Caesarean,
Claire had first hand experience of the amazing benefits of body-work during pregnancy and the post partum rehabilitative process, through her own journey with quite severe diastasis recti and resultant hernias.
With a back ground in ballet as a child, and Pilates training at the Royal Academy of Dance, London, as an adult, with the aim of becoming a Pilates Teacher, her own rehabilitation after children led her to study instead Diplomas in Kinesiology & Mind Body Medicine and then Remedial Massage at Loftus Tafe in order to learn how she could help herself and to help others.
And that is why in May of 2022, Mother Touch was opened in the Sutherland Shire . A place to get result’s without compromising on the relaxation, pampering and ambience, a moment of peace, and a chance to be reminded about the phenomenal human you are.
Claire believes Pregnancy is an incredible feat of engineering and despite its challenges, every woman should be able to experience as much of the ‘amazingness’ that it is .
She has developed a pregnancy massage through not only independent specific advanced training but being hands on, questioning and researching along the way and has evidenced from working over 2000 hours in prenatal care over the last several years.
Through the very latest in body work education, the treatments you can receive at Mother Touch include remedial , Abdominal Visceral “medical massage” (Barral Institute) kinesiology, energetic healing, clinical nutrition and counselling.
As well as being a true advocate for the science behind the techniques there is also the power of what can’t be measured, and our body does heal itself in the end , and just needs a little encouragement in the right direction.

And a bit of trivia, Claire’s Dad was delivered by Midwife Mary McCartney ! Yes that’s right, Sir Pauls Mum, she was a Midwife in Liverpool in the UK in the 1940 and 50’s.

Before Body Work, Claire had a diverse Corporate career across many sectors that allowed her to travel the world and meet many different characters from so many walks of life. With a degree in HR and Psychology she has always loved working with people and finding out what motivates them to be the best they can be.
