We feel so very privileged to have accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Counselor, Danika Carter of North Star Therapeutics within Mother Touch.
Danika is a Mum of three , with two fur baby dogs, and is a self proclaimed book nerd, podcast and coffee lover. She also loves a good workshop and any learning to expand her skills in what she considers ‘vital work’ in her ‘life calling’.
Danika comes with 20 years of Social Work and the last decade exclusively in Counselling; including at the Benevolent Trust before embarking into private practice.
With a focus on person centered care, trauma informed therapy, she provides evidence based therapeutic interventions for perinatal well being, anxiety, depression, challenges with emotional regulation, grief loss and trauma. She is passionate about supporting people to move towards positive change, foster healthy coping skills and to heal in a safe, supportive positive, nurturing and spirit-full space to hold the space for their healing.
Danika is Private Health and Medicare Approved Provider, so can accept Mental Health Plans and Bulk Bills.
